Hi there! I’m Brooke!
Well, this blog has been a long time coming. Since it has been something floating around me for a few years, in February 2017 I finally signed up for a mega blogging course to help me learn the ins and outs. It has been so fun to learn, and an insane amount of work to get it up and going.
So why do I have it out in the open when it’s technically not ready yet? Well, because I was accepted as a freelance writer for a site called Twiniversity.com. My first article was published 11/11/17 and can be found HERE. It was totally random timing that the opportunity to write for Twiniversity came about, so I knew I needed to get the site at least presentable enough for anyone wandering over here from my article!
I’ll tell you a little about me and this blog. I am a single, working mom of fraternal twin boys. I spent my 20s and 30s working like a maniac in a corporate world, traveling the country and the world, and thinking I had all the time in the world to meet someone to marry. When I hadn’t met the man of my dreams by the time I was 40, I knew if I wanted to be a mama, I had to find an alternative plan. The story is lengthy, as these stories often are, but the short of it is, I had my boys at 42 on my own, via IVF using anonymous donors (sperm and egg). Our life is challenging, rewarding, and crazy, but I wouldn’t give them back for anything.
I am so looking forward to building this community and providing others with a virtual place to hang out for a while. Thanks for being here!
